4. Lassie – 1957
Everyone here probably already knows how Lassie is. Lassie was the heroine of her series that was on TV in the 1950s and 1970s. The show followed the adventures of Lassie and her companions of saving Jeff or Timmy time and time again. Throughout the series, Lassie was played by nine different collies, all of whom were males despite Lassie being a female character. The show was so successful that it won two Emmy Awards in 1956 and 1956.
