Roma – Il Nido Del Pettirosso

My experience at The Rome: Il Nido Del Pettirosso

When visiting a new city it you wouldn’t want to end your trip without sampling the local delicacies. When in Rome you wouldn’t want to miss on the pasta and pizza, but this you can find anywhere even in your home town. However, you should not board your plane back home without visiting Il Nido del Petirosso restaurant that serves high quality dishes whose tastes are drawn by fusing different flavors and tastes. The restaurant offers a relaxing atmosphere with bright colors and comfortable seats giving a cool ambience that allows you to enjoy your meal. Located on the Via Palermo 89 Rome.

The resident chef is widely experienced in authentic Italian and Roman dishes. The chef uses the freshest ingredients to ensure that customers are served the best meals to give a feeling of the season. The culinary experience that comes with each food serving at the Rosso Petti is something you don’t want to miss.

The Italian dishes at the restaurant are good for the heart as the products come from the farms on Valle del Camino directly to the restaurant. The restaurant also serves wines brewed from berries that are optimally ripe thereby offering aromatic precursors. While there you should make a point to sample Maturano white wine or D.O.P Cabernet red wine. If you are a beer person, the restaurant has you covered, as it stocks selected beers brewed by traditional methods.

Everything in the restaurant shows you how much time was put in to give clients a memorable experience. From the dishes to the walls, and menus, the culinary space at Il Nido Del Pettirosso is lovely. The creativity and hospitality at the restaurant will leave you amazed and wanting to come back.  There will also be some cool jazz playing in the background as you enjoy your meal.

One of the most ordered meal at the restaurant and one I would recommend is the Rabbit confit.

The next time you are in Rome and looking for a new dining experience, Il Nido Del Pettirosso is the place to be. Depending on which season you are visiting, you won’t be disappointed. Remember to call the restaurant early to make your reservations as some nights it gets fully booked.

Vanves – Restaurant Le Paris

Restaurant Le Paris

Anyone who has ever visited France has to agree – the French are truly wizards when it comes to food, with their exquisite use of spices, their extraordinary wines and truly delicious desserts.

When we arrived to Vanves, a commune in southwestern suburbs of Paris, my friends and I were delighted to get acquainted with French cuisine, so we went to a restaurant not far from our hotel. The restaurant, Le Paris, was a wonderful discovery in which we definitely had the meals of our lives.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was really pleasant, so we quickly felt just like home while sipping our mojitos that arrived after a blink of the eye. The staff continued this truly amazing fast tempo of service with our appetizer, which was salmon tartar, which was an exquisite new dish I had never tried before.

After that, my friends ordered pasta with chicken, while I ordered turkey curry with coconut milk, which I have to say, was as exotic and wonderful as I imagined it would be. The turkey was so soft it almost melted in my mouth and the coconut milk gave it a nice twist, really bringing out the flavor of the turkey.

After these meals we were quite full, but I ordered dessert, and I have to say I was really glad I did. I opted for strawberry mousse, which was the dessert of the day. After the previous courses, the strawberry mouse turned out to be the best dish to finish this gastronomic epic, with its light, fluffy texture and delicate flavor. I especially enjoyed how creamy it was, with an optimal dose of sweetness, while the strawberry flavor really felt refreshing.

After such wonderful meals, I will definitely make it my culinary priority to visit Le Paris in Vanves once again, as soon as possible, and I suggest you do the same.

New York – The City Kitchen

The City Kitchen Experience

When I came to New York, I was astonished by the wide variety of high-end, luxurious eateries. Even at the fairly costly ones, there was always a whole crowd of customers waiting to be served, which made me wonder the kind of services they offered. Being a visitor, I was still looking for that perfect comfortable location to grab a bite, grab a drink and relax. Before I could search for long, I stumbled upon The City Kitchen, a food court in the Times Square.

I was really impressed by its location. Although it’s quite unknown by many tourists, it is often as full as Times Square itself. The outward appearance of this food court was very inviting, so I had to check it out, and most probably eat as much I could handle.

The interior design was just as interesting. It looked very modern and quite cozy, taken that a lot of people happen to be there at the same time. This is one place where you could relax without feeling any pressure of the high class. What can I say, it’s New York. Even when you don’t know where you’re going, you can end up somewhere really good. (Like City Kitchen!)

When I had to decide what to eat, I realized that the City Kitchen serves a wide range of dishes, both local and exotic, and all of them are located in one small and comfortable location. After checking out the prices, I realized they really do reflect the fact that this food court is located at the center of New York City. The portions are smaller, and the prices are higher. For example, eight small pieces of sushi cost a whopping $12.

The procedure is such that when you choose what you want to eat, you wait in a line at the counter, and then place your order and pay. While your meal is getting ready, you can find a free seat and wait for your number. When your order is done, you pick it up. It’s quite simple. It’s exactly what I did when I tried the Luke’s Lobster. However, I found the best dish in the City Kitchen to be the shrimp.

Costing $12, I guess it was the serenading aroma with which this dish is prepared that made the wait worthwhile. The taste is of great quality and generally, food in this place is really fresh and delicious. I also got a bottled drink, chips and a pickle (you can also add soup for $4 more).

The best part is that the chips has vinegar added to it for that tantalizing taste. On the other hand, the shrimp is very tasteful but not big enough if you want a proper meal; it’s more like an appetizer. This dish is a recommendation of staff members, so that should explain why they needed so much time to prepare it – they made it fresh, not just warming it up.

Being a visitor, I never thought there could be a place to eat and dine in the Times Square at mid-level prices (taken the luxury of where you’re located). The City Kitchen indeed offers a seamless combination of food, comfort and class. I wouldn’t have a second opinion about going there for another treat.

Cape Town – Sevruga Restaurant

Sevruga Restaurant

My last memorable visit to Cape Town was in 2001. The beautiful people were among my fondest memories, and my friend Linda made sure we didn’t spare visiting the beautiful Table Mountain- like I was going to leave South Africa without seeing it- and the amazing wine regions.

Fifteen years later, as I arrived in Cape Town, the cold winds from the Cape Doctor got me pondering over my decision to visit Cape Town. Again my able South African host, Linda, assured me August in Cape Town isn’t so bad once you keep your vital areas warm. After all, I may never see the Cape Peninsula any greener.

So enough about August in Cape Town. What could there be here to eat? I am curios it has a while since I came here. To celebrate a fine town day in Cape Town, my host and I made it to one of the most popular restaurants in the city. At the world famous V& A Waterfront with an expansive bright terrace, awaiting me, was Sevruga Restaurant.

The restaurant’s fabulous “American Walnut Walls” and amazing wooden floors coupled with a separate bar and lounge all came together to make me realize I was in for a fantastic experience. After securing a table inside-though the terrace would have been adorable had it not been the winds- we ordered from their renowned sushi, dim sum and cocktails. Mr. Green, the resident sushi master graced or palettes with an unforgettable restaurant experience. Our smartly dressed and courteous waiter further made our dining experience like royalty. Knowing the menu inside and out and was very helpful.

We both settled for the Tablerone Martini and our crispy wontons, deep-fried to amazement made our dim sum just unforgettable. Our sushi arrived with our salmon delicacies gracing our table.

After chowing down two pieces, my mind was made. This was the best have I had anywhere.
